Be straight about the drive
Hillsborough is roughly an hour up I-75 from our base, and we would rather tell you what that means than have you find out. It means Tampa work is usually planned rather than same-day, and it means a single small pile is not the job that makes sense for either of us.
What does make sense: multi-load work, a full day booked, a cleared lot, several addresses in one area, or a storm week when nobody local has a truck free. If you have volume, the drive stops mattering. Call and tell us what you have and we will tell you honestly whether we are the right call or whether you are better served locally — we would rather give you that answer than take a job we cannot do well.
What the work looks like up there
Tampa’s older neighbourhoods carry some of the biggest urban canopy on this coast — the live oaks through Seminole Heights, Hyde Park and Temple Terrace are enormous, and when one comes down the wood volume is well beyond what a dump trailer handles. That is grapple work.
Riverview, Apollo Beach and the south county are still expanding hard, so the material there is clearing debris off development lots. Plant City and the east are agricultural, which means fence lines, hedge rows, grove work and the kind of bulk vegetation that appears all at once.
Clearwater and Pinellas
We get asked. Clearwater is outside our normal range, but on a large enough job we will consider it case by case. Call and ask rather than assuming the answer is no — just know that Tampa is where the routine coverage ends.
